Fall 2025 Career and Internship Fairs: Information For Staff & Faculty

This year, we are hosting on just one career and internship fair on campus, but three.

They are industry-focused to allow more employers to attend from a variety of fields and to assist students in finding the employers that are most closely aligned with their interests.

The fairs are as follows:

  • Healthcare, Science and Sustainability: October 10th, 11am – 1pm
  • Business, Tech, and Creative Arts: October 15th, 11am – 1pm
  • Social Impact, Education, Government, and Public Service: October 17th, 11am – 1pm

All fairs will be held in the Christensen Center 1st floor lobby.

We hope that as a portion of each fair will be held during Community Time that this will allow students to attend without class interference. However, we ask for grace and flexibility for students who wish to attend longer. We also encourage you to connect it to your course if able, such as an extra credit assignment or project.

Why are job fairs important?

  • Job fairs are an excellent opportunity for students to practice relationship building, communication, and learning how they want to present themselves in the professional world.
  • It’s a great opportunity to meet employers face-to-face on campus and have their undivided attention. It can help students stand out from the crowd when they submit their application.
  • For those exploring possibilities, it’s a chance to learn about careers and companies students  have never heard of. For those exploring possibilities, it can be a great opportunity to learn about what is possible after college. It’s also a way for students to see how the skills and knowledge they’re building in the classroom and in extracurriculars connect to the world around them.
  • It’s a time for students to invest in themselves. It is dedicated time for students to engage in personal and professional development, particularly networking, public speaking, active listening, and confidence building.

Who Should Attend the Fairs?

  • First-year students: This is a great opportunity for 1st years to see how a career fair works, network with employers, and learn what types of internship opportunities are out there. Generally, employers are seeking students who have completed their sophomore year. However, some first year students come in very accomplished and may be able to apply for roles!
  • Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors seeking internships now or for summer 2026.
  • Seniors (graduating December 2025 or Spring 2026) seeking full-time entry level careers

Registration for all three fairs are through Handshake (a link and QR code are also included in the slides linked below, which we have created for you to use in class). Registration will open for students on the first day of class, September 3rd, and will close the day before each respective fair. Students will also be able to register on site the day of each fair.

Students will be able to view which employers are attending each fair on Handshake. If they are unsure which fair they should attend, encourage them to research the organizations at each to see which might best suit what they are looking for.

We will also be hosting fair prep events for students in the week of October 6th, which students can find on Handshake and will be advertised in the coming weeks.

Please let us know if you have any questions. If you would like support or information about connecting the fairs to any class projects, please let us know and we can connect you to resources and our Career Collaborative team who can consult with you on options.
