This academic year, we’re excited to introduce Miranda Englar, an Master of Social Work student from Saint Catherine University. She will be completing her MSW generalist internship in our office and will be with us through the end of the spring semester.
From Miranda:

Hello!
My name is Miranda Englar, and I am excited to support the Strommen Center for Meaningful Work this year as their first MSW intern. A bit about me: I am currently in my third year at Saint Catherine University, pursuing a dual Master’s degree in Social Work and Holistic Health.
I have a deep passion for learning and stepping into uncharted waters—creating space for personal growth and a deeper understanding of how I show up in the world. Following the completion of my Master’s degree, I aim to work in higher education to support students on their own journeys of self-discovery. Long term, I also aspire to work directly with religious trauma within the Queer community. Outside of classes, work, and my internship, you can usually find me outdoors hiking, camping, or sitting by the water. I also love reading, listening to podcasts, and binge-watching thriller or suspense miniseries across all streaming platforms.
I am eager to lean into this season at Augsburg and build on both new and existing skills that will support me throughout graduate school and beyond. I look forward to connecting with you during the upcoming academic year!
