Whether you’re recently graduated and looking for work or looking to connect with current students, the Strommen Center is here for you. We help graduates with job searching, career coaching, and we partner with alumni to mentor and support current students.

How We Support Alumni

As an Augsburg alum, you have access to the career center here for as long as you need it. We can help with general career and job support such as:

  • career planning
  • graduate school planning
  • job search and networking strategies
  • resume and cover letter review
  • interview prep

We use Handshake to schedule most appointments with alumni. If you are a current student or student who recently graduated (within the last three months) who still has access to your Augsburg email, visit this resource to learn how to update your email address to make sure you can continue to access Handshake after you graduate. If you attended Augsburg before we offered Handshake or if you no longer are able to access your account, please email us at careers@augsburg.edu and we can reset your access.

First Destination Survey

As a soon-to-be or recent graduate from an undergrad program, you will be asked to complete the First Destination Survey. This is a nation-wide survey that helps us better understand where you’re going after you finish school and what continued support you may need. Look for an email in the spring after you share your intent to graduate and please fill out the form – it helps us greatly to know where you’re headed and how we can connect with you in the future!
