Scribe for Medical Practice
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated scribe to join our medical team! This position is perfect for pre-med or medical students who want to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting while assisting a doctor in achieving their medical credits and providing essential support to improve patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the physician during patient encounters by documenting medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans
- Accurately record information in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Help with maintaining patient records, tracking follow-ups, and ensuring proper documentation of medical encounters
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure timely and accurate charting
- Facilitate communication between the physician, patients, and other healthcare providers
- Support the physician in administrative duties related to patient care
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or a graduate of a pre-med or medical program (ideal for current medical school students)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a healthcare team
- Experience or familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) is helpful but not required (training will be provided)
