Johnson Service Group is looking for a Student Intern for one of our Clients in San Jose. Working part time during school and can be full time during summer and breaks. Must be a current student studying Civil Engineering or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Gain an understanding of Client’s mission and assets.
- Gain experience related to Civil Engineering, including researching utility plans, reviewing construction plans, and preparing permits and written correspondence.
- Respond to USA tickets by researching GIS maps and records to determine if any facilities will be affected by proposed excavation activities.
- Student intern to assist with the annual updates of land rights on copies of the County Assessor maps (10,000 pages per year). Assist the engineering staff with submittal reviews and issuance of basic permits.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), with customer service experience and ability to work independently.
- Student should be pursuing Civil Engineering degree or degree in a related field, and be a sophomore or further along in the degree program.
- Must be enrolled in at least nine (9) units per grading period at an accredited community college, college or university.
Rate- $26.31/hr
