The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Functions Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The Global Safety & Environment Intern will provide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to our global business partners related to Safety Center of Excellence (CoE) compliance programs.
Projects may include:
Maintaining support systems and programs to ensure employees can comply.
Participate in program simplification efforts, including change management to support the initiative.
Monitoring occurrence of safety-related incident reports, trending common factors and root causes.
Reviewing data and metrics about safety and uses database technology and tracking systems to generate reports regularly.
Maintaining, reviewing, evaluating, and updating safety-related programs, manuals, guidelines, and associated web pages.
Assisting with the development and implementation of global safety programs.
Continuing to improve the EHS Management System of sites and looking to leverage successful practices from sites globally.
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelors / Masters degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or other technical degree.
Required:
Should have completed at least 2 years of college course work.
Must be able to work full time for a period of 10 -12 weeks beginning summer 2025.
Critical thinking, project management, communication, problem solving and computer skills.
Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes.
Ability to work both independently and with variety of roles and team members for different assignments.
Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions.
Experience researching scientific literature via the internet or technical article databases.
Preferred:
Knowledge of high risk work, contractor management, machine safety, ergonomics, emergency response and/or fire safety.
Prior internship or work experience in EHS field.
Ability to communicate ideas and explain decisions in a clear and understandable manner.
Experience writing and reviewing operational procedures.
Travel is not required.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
