We seek students majoring in psychology to work with us at schools, foster care and mental health agencies, the Department of Human Resources, and the Judicial Court System to assist children and their families with mental health behavioristics. Psychology majors who seek to build their resumes, gain valuable experience and skills, and help youth and families are encouraged to apply.
Psychology interns play a crucial role in our mental wellness initiative. In addition to providing direct and indirect support, they engage in various activities related to mental health. Interns will research mental health topics, write articles addressing mental health issues, and participate in interviews with news media and radio stations. Their collaboration extends to students, families, schools, mental health and foster care agencies, hospitals, the juvenile court system, and team members. Together, we ensure high-quality programming for disadvantaged students, those with disabilities, children in hospitals, and students facing mental health challenges
On a typical day, interns will attend and set up referral meetings (often via Zoom), plan initial assessments, conduct behavior consultations, provide direct and indirect support to individuals facing mental health challenges, and host and lead a mental wellness podcast. Additionally, interns will collaborate with agencies interested in implementing social-emotional interventions to support mental health.

We will work with you in accordance with your schedule and academic requirements. The final schedule will be established between the intern and the director. Internships are available year-round based on student and organizational needs.
