There are many ways to find teaching opportunities and careers for educators, but sometimes it can seem daunting as to where to start. Here are a few sites to get you started.
When to start looking for a teaching postion
Teaching positions are open throughout the year, but many are posted in April-August.
Just for College Students
Handshake – local schools as well as schools from other states post their opportunities here specifically to find recent graduates
Twin Cities/Minnesota
MNASA Jobsite – Minnesota Schools Jobsite allows school districts to post any and all vacancies and it is free to use for jobseekers.
Minnesota Council of Nonprofits – This is a great option for those looking for work in education-related fields or in various educational roles outside of public school districts.
State of Minnesota Job Postings – openings in the State Government, including the Department of Education
MN School Jobs: helps educators connect directly with hiring administrators in public, PreK-12 schools across the state. They host a job board, offer virtual career fairs, and also offer events such as career seminars.
