Resources for Women/Womxn Students

As of 2023, women working full-time are paid 84 cents for every dollar a man makes, 77 cents if they are part-time. Women of color, trans women, neurodiverse women, and women with any of these and other intersectionalities experience further discrimination. As the fight for gender equality continues, here are resources to add to your toolkit to support yourself and take care of yourself in your career.

American Association of University Women – Workplace and Economics Equity: provides information regarding the gendered pay gap, gender in the workplace, and issues such as sexual harassment and maternal leave. The organization also provides way sot get involved and fellowships/grants.

Department of Labor – Women’s Bureau: advocates for the equality and economics security of women; includes resources regarding paid leave, childcare prices, equal pay, and other statistics. They also hosts events surrounding these issues.

FindLaw – Dealing with Discrimination: provides information for dealing with discrimination and harassment in the workplace

Women’s Rights Information Center: provides trainings, job listings, and other resources for women, including crisis resources

Women Employed – Resources: provides information on advocacy and activism, workplace fairness, and other issues
