Licensure
Educator Licensure infographic for the State of Minnesota: Effective July 2024, this infographic outlines the different tiers available not just to those with an education degree but also those with other majors who are interested in becoming a teacher.
Minnesota Licensing Board: Apply for First License – In the state of Minnesota, individuals must have a license to teach in public schools. There are different requirements for licensure depending on the license type (see the infographic above for more details). Note that tier 1 and 2 individuals need a bachelor’s degree, but not one specifically in education.
